“Mom Hacks” is a collection of some of my favorite quick and easy suggestions for making mom’s life simpler. As a new mom, I struggled to find good advice that would keep me happy and away from the constant trials my husband would throw at me. There were loads of suggestions about what to buy (even books on pregnancy! ), what to cook (surely the fast food diet), what to read (so many books on Oprah!). It was like my head was spinning and I had no idea where to start.
That was until I stumbled across “The Big Book of Mom Hacks“. What was so amazing about this book was that it wasn’t about what my mom did every day, but about what she did differently. How could I be running around and putting myself in situations that were stressful and challenging, when all I needed was to go into my little binder and pull out a page and read to my kids? How could I possibly relax when I had to do dishes and wash clothes and do taxes and meet people and make dinner and take phone calls? There should be a book about what to do every day!
Well there is, and it’s called “The Big Book of Mom Hacks!” And it’s filled with wonderful ideas and techniques that my husband created while he was writing the book. We have used some of these strategies or tips ourselves, but we have found that the ones listed in this helpful little book actually work wonders for our families.
There are so many practical, no-nonsense “mom hacks” listed in this quick and easy guide. For example, one book tells you how to get your kids to eat healthier, complete with pictures and easy-to-read instructions. Another book offers up a list of 20 fun (and healthy) snacks you can serve at your baby shower for the new baby. Another book has cute and helpful hints on how to clean your house (even if you have toddlers and young kids around!)
Oh, yeah, another book about organizing your house. No, not another “how to organize your home” book. This is a real book about how to arrange your belongings so that your house is fully functional (and livable!) at all times. It’s not just about stuff; there are also helpful hints and tips about what to pack in your car and what not to bring.
If you were having a difficult time organizing yourself last week because you needed to cram in a bunch of school papers, this book about organization is for you. You will find a neat trick or two that you can use every day to help you keep track of what you need to get done and what you need to leave behind at home. Whether you need to get out of the chair or out the door, you can always rely on this book to help you with your organization problems.
And lastly, don’t miss out on this fun book about creating your own DIY crafts. With so many mom and kid’s books out there, I bet this one doesn’t even need to be mentioned! The book is full of useful hints and ideas, and it even includes a free craft project guide. This book will definitely make your craftsy life a lot easier!
These are just a few of the useful things that you can find inside this great book. Even if you didn’t like something, chances are you will still find other things you might want to try. This book is definitely one for the bookshelf. Mom Hacks is definitely a must-have for every mom!
