This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Puppies vs. Babies for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. Anybody who is a fan of certain TV shows that showcase videos that people send in knows that animals or babies ALWAYS win. Always. Because there is nothing cuter than puppies and babies, and that's coming from a cat person. Puppies vs. Babies is a competition that spans generations and centuries and is finally being decided now. Seriously, people, it is up to you to finally decide which is cuter - puppies or babies. Considering I don't have any puppies, I have to side with babies on this one. My kids especially were darn cute as babies (they still are, they're just not babies anymore). We were just looking through baby pictures the other day and were oohing and aahing over the various pictures that we saw. Let me tell you, it sure gave an edge to the "Pro" side of the third child debate. I … [Read more...]

For the speed demons in your life
My husband is known for his speeding habits. And since I've known him, I've gotten bad too. Thankfully, I've only gotten pulled over once (knock on wood) but I owe a lot to the trusty radar detector. We both have them and would be up to our ears in insurance premiums if we didn't. If you're a chronic speeder and keep getting pulled over, face it and just bite the bullet and buy a radar detector. Check out the Best Radar Detector and find one that works for you. They get more technologically advanced every year. Personally, we prefer Cobra brand but I've also had Whistler and found that as long they spot the cop, I'm all good. This is a compensated post. However, this did not influence my opinion in any way. All thoughts are 100% my own. … [Read more...]

Kashi Peanutty Dark Chocolate Layered Granola Bars – Healthy and delicious!

Let me start out by saying that I'm not that "crunchy". Yes, I'd like my kids to eat healthy but I'm more into using fruits and vegetables for that method. I shop at regular grocery stores and am not really into the organic movement. But even I am into Kashi. Kashi makes being "crunchy" easy. They are so easy to find and their products are delicious. I think buying Kashi products are a great first step down the road to more natural, healthier living. More about these delicious products - every day, I swear there is a new Kashi product. As part of my involvement with Moms Meet, I was given a chance to share the Peanutty Dark Chocolate Layered Granola Bars with some other moms and kids. Well, mom and kid. My sister-in-law and her little guy, who just turned three, came over for a playdate (because other kids' toys are a zillion times cooler than your own). I offered these up to my nephew and he chowed down, which was amazing because this kid never eats (not like my … [Read more...]
You’re only as young as your back
Yep, it happened this weekend - I completely messed up my back trying to pick up my 3 year old and flip him over. Fail. So please forgive me because while it seems that I would be sitting at the laptop more, it's actually the opposite - I'm afraid to sit down in certain positions because I may not be able to get back up. So me and my chiropractor have been quite friendly. I feel better today and hopefully we continue on that same path. In the meantime, check out all of my giveaways! … [Read more...]

It was an awesome deal so I just had to snatch it up for one of you. I have three hardcover Jodi Picoult books, all previously read but in excellent condition. They are Change of Heart, House Rules, and Handle with Care. The only flaw is a paper tag stapled to the fly leaf of each book. I'm sure they're easily removed, I just didn't want to chance ruining anything. Just use the form below to … [Read more...]

*CLOSED* VeggieTales Bob & Larry are teaching us lessons (Review & Giveaway)

I may be one of the last moms in the US to introduce VeggieTales to her kids. I think it's because they were big when I was younger, but not young enough to watch them, so they never crossed my radar. But now we're making up for lost time with a VeggieTales movie festival, because I've been given a chance to review two of the DVDs - Larry Learns To Listen and Bob Lends a Helping Hand. … [Read more...]
