Kids Bowl for Zip, Zero, Zilch – all summer long!

Are you dreading the thought of your kids being plugged in all summer?  I know I am but find that any activities in this area cost a lot and it’s pretty hot a lot of the time, so it’s hard to figure out fun stuff to do on the cheap – and my kids are 5 and 3!

AMF Bowling has come to the rescue!  All summer long (May 30 to September 5), kids (up to 16 years old) bowl for absolutely free!  Yes, I said free!  And it’s not like it’s for one hour a day on the odd Thursday of every other month.  After registering for email at this link,, your child will receive weekly coupons via email for two free games per day all summer long.  I was a bit stunned at this offer – I feel it’s a fantastic deal.  And you can use these coupons up until 8 pm every day – even better!

So now you’re wondering how cheap this can be if you have to pay for yourself.  Well, AMF also has a deal where up to 4 adults (over 17) can bowl 2 games per day all summer long for only $17.95!  Again, this deal just keeps getting better.

While bowling may not be a sport that really raises the heartrate, it does get the kids away from the electronics and other couch-potato-y stuff as well as impart some healthy competition (and some pouting if anybody’s a sore loser like me).

Not sure if there are any AMF Bowling Centers around you?  Search with your zip code to see what lanes are closest to you.  Unfortunately, our closest one would cost me $5 in bridge tolls as well as a decent amount of gas and aggravation, so we won’t be able to take part in this.  Hopefully all of you can though!

While this is  a fantastic deal, please be warned I believe that shoe rental is NOT included.  I don’t want any of you to be surprised by that fact.

So if you need a cheap activity that gets you moving around a bit but lets you stay cool at the same time, check out the AMF Bowling Free Kids’ Summer program!
