CSN Stores have so much to offer

My husband and I are sad little creatures and very un-grownup.  How is that?  Well, we don't own any proper furniture.  We've bought about three pieces for the general house and a crib and changing table.  I'm serious.  All of our other furniture is hand-me-down.  We've also never even considered getting a  proper bedroom set, but seeing CSN Store's Bedroom Furniture's variety of bedroom furniture has me drooling! First, there are regular twin beds.  But they're not truly "regular".  Prepare to be amazed by CSN Store's huge variety of items to choose from.    This princess canopy bed is truly fit for a princess.  I think your kids would be falling all over themselves to go to bed when you put one of these beds into their bedroom. Check out this cherry sleigh bed.  I think $325 with FREE truck delivery is phenomenal!!  You can pay more to get higher levels of delivery service but I like that it's up to you as to how much service you would like.  I am sure this bed … [Read more...]

Review of My Life, My Story by Faith Carlson

mylife

My Life, My Story by Faith Carlson is a non-fiction book about a teenage girl's return to normalcy.  Faith Carlson was raped twice and descended into a pit of despair that included such things as cutting.  She was not able to express her depression and was at a complete loss until she found some counselors that helped her open up and move past these terrible events and begin to live her life again. This book is a true story so this inclines me to be a bit gentler with my review.  I feel badly that Carlson underwent such horrible degradation and then had to endure a horrible depression afterwards.  But I don't think this book was portrayed correctly in the book description.   The book is more of her diary and less of a memoir/telling of events.  We learn mostly of Carlson's feelings.  I feel that this book should be billed as a journal. This will probably sound harsh, but being that these are Carlson's thoughts while she was going through therapy and trying to heal, I … [Read more...]

Take a Hint from me! Review of Hint Premium Essence Water

hint

I've tried it all, for many years.  I've tried all of the flavored waters/sodas on the market, and was never fully satisfied.  Sometimes I just get sick of plain water.  The really good flavored waters have too many calories and the low or no calorie ones have that weird taste.  And now even soda is out of my diet.  So what's a girl to do? Drink Hint!  Hint Premium Essence Water is a water naturally, lightly flavored with different fruits.  Hint is all-natural, unsweetened and has no calories.  Seriously - no calories.  Now, I know you're all wondering how this stuff  tastes.  I know I was very skeptical. But Hint does it.  It pulls it off, and flawlessly.  I am not just trying to sugarcoat a product.  Hint truly is a good-tasting, no calorie, NATURAL water.  The best way to describe the flavor is to call it an aftertaste, but that makes it sound bad.  The flavor hits you as you're swallowing and then stays with you a bit. Hint comes in a huge array of … [Read more...]

*CLOSED* Shiva’s Arms by Cheryl Snell Book Tour – Review and Giveaway!

Shiva's Arms by Cheryl Snell

Shiva's Arms by Cheryl Snell is a book about the clash between an Indian man's family and his new American wife, Alice.  At the forefront of the conflict is Ramesh's mother who does not believe that Alice is good enough for Ramesh. While this is typical to many mothers of sons, Amma takes the idea to an entirely new level.  Amma both literally and figuratively takes Alice and Ramesh's son, Sam, away from his mother as an infant.  As Sam grows, Amma believes it is her place to be sure that he is well aware of his heritage, as it is obvious to her his mother knows next to nothing and refuses to learn.  Throughout her life, Alice battles mental illness, which only serves to reinforce Amma's belief that she is absolutely necessary in her grandson's life. However, as the reader progresses, we find that Amma has some secrets of her own, something that she has hidden for many years and that everybody in the family has agreed to never speak of again.  It is perhaps the reason behind … [Read more...]

Review of Questionable Therapy by Steve Godofsky

q

Questionable Therapy by Steve Godofsky tells us of a woman named Stacy who is therapy after trying to kill herself.  Her family has a history of mental illness, and many stressors have just piled up to drive Stacy to this measure.  Her husband, Rick, is extremely worried about her, but hopes that therapy will help pull his wife out of this dark hole. The book consists of the current events of Stacy talking to her therapist.  Periodically, we learn about Rick and Stacy's past and the events that led up to Stacy's breakdown.   Finally, we get glimpses of  a foreboding presence that seems to be getting more and more evil as the story progresses. It took me at least half of the book to get into the story - probably about at the point where Stacy starts exhibiting severe mental issues by quitting her job and other drastic actions.  Once I hit that point, I was enthralled and found it difficult to put the book down. However, as much as I found the book to be an enjoyable read, I … [Read more...]
